ROSWALL’S DANIEL ROSCOE SPEAKS AT ENERGY EFFICIENCY ROUNDTABLE

On February 6, 2019, Daniel Roscoe, managing director of Roswall, was invited by the High Commission of Canada to speak at the Government of Canada’s Energy Efficiency Roundtable Discussion at the Hyatt Regency Trinidad in Trinidad and Tobago.

The event was organised in collaboration with the Ministry of Public Utilities on the theme of developing a strategy towards energy efficiency in the country, with the objective of exploring an energy efficiency plan that can draw from the successful approaches adopted in Nova Scotia, Canada.

Daniel was part of the Canadian delegation representing the industry, utility regulator, and energy efficiency experts from Nova Scotia. Both local and Canadian stakeholders were invited to contribute to this discussion on bilateral collaboration on energy efficiency.

The key takeaways from Daniel’s presentation were twofold: Investments in energy efficiency have great returns on investment (even in low cost markets such as Trinidad and Tobago) and they are labour intensive and therefore help create local jobs.
