Daniel is a veteran renewable energy executive, with extensive experience in all stages of wind and solar project development, financing, construction and operation. Daniel has built 50MW of wind energy projects across North America, with a focus on Atlantic Canada and New England, along with hundreds of onsite solar projects. His speciality is making small scale (<20MW) utility scale projects be as profitable as possible.
Daniel is a passionate advocate and engaged stakeholder for locally owned renewable energy and for transition to a sustainable energy economy. He has successfully advocated for innovative energy policy including Nova Scotia’s Community Feed In Tariff, and Halifax’s Solar City program. These programs and the resulting projects that he was involved with played a major role in transforming the Nova Scotia electricity supply from 2008-2016.
He is Professional Engineer in Nova Scotia with a Bachelor of Applied Science (Civil Engineering) form the University of Waterloo.
